An accident is a sudden, unforeseen, involuntary event that can be defined in terms of time and place and is caused by an external factor, resulting in injury or damage to a person.
If medical treatment is required as a result of an accident, this falls under health insurance coverage.
If an accident results in permanent physical impairment or death, accident insurance is responsible. In addition, accident insurance provides financial support for accident-related cosmetic surgery, rescue costs, and extended hospital stays.
