Can I really still take out insurance while abroad?
Yes, Protrip World Traveler is one of the few international health insurance plans that you can also purchase online after your trip has already begun.
If the insurance is taken out after the start of the trip, the waiting period for claiming benefits in the event of illness is 14 days from the start of the insurance. The waiting period does not apply in the case of accidents or for medical assistance required to avert an acute life-threatening condition for the insured person.
