In the Standard Package, damages caused during activities as an intern are also insured. However, if you are planning an internship as part of your studies or Erasmus Plus program, we recommend the Complete Package for even more extensive benefits. You can take out the Complete Package if your trip has an educational background.

What is insured with Protect Standard?

  • Liability insurance

     

    		Capital payment in case of accidental death €10,000.

     

    		Disability sum €30,000.

     

    		Disability scale 350%.

     

    		Capital payment for 100% accidental disability €105,000.

     

    		Rescue costs €25,000.

     

    		Accident-related cosmetic surgeries €10,000.

  • Accident insurance

     

    		The premium must be paid immediately after concluding the insurance contract.

     

    		The premium can be paid by direct debit, bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, or other payment service providers.

  • Assistance insurance

     

    		Insurance sum €2,000.

     

    		Also insured are damages to furs, jewelry, and items made of precious metals, laptops, as well as photo, film cameras, and portable video systems, each including accessories. The compensation obligation per insured event is limited to a maximum of 50% of the insurance sum.

     

    		Deductible for travel luggage damage per claim €50.

  • Luggage insurance

     

    		Personal liability insurance including “professional” liability insurance for au pairs with a lump sum for personal injury and property damage up to €1,000,000

     

    		Property damage to host family’s immovable property up to €1,000,000*

     

    		Damage to rented property covered by the policy up to €100,000*

     

    		Liability loss caused during activities as an intern up to €10,000*

     

    		Deductible in case of liability loss per insured event €100

    *Sublimit within the basic sum insured

  • Exclusions – plain and simple
    ✖Liability insurance: for damages to borrowed, leased, rented, and hired items.
    ✖Accident insurance: for accidents caused by intoxication or drug use.
    ✖Assistance insurance: for chronic mental illnesses, including those with episodic occurrences, as well as addiction disorders.
    ✖Travel luggage insurance: for damages directly or indirectly caused by nuclear energy.
